How to concentrate on studies?
Do you find it hard to focus when you’re studying?
There are so many distractions these days: text messages, videos, email and social media(instagram reels๐),and some peoples too.(involving your fav ones)
One of the best ways to improve your grades is to learn how to focus better while you study.
I’ve come up with this list of some tips and techniques to help you concentrate while studying.
How to focus on studying
You can learn how to focus the best by trying some of these techniques during your study session.
When you find one that works, make it a part of your routine every time you study depending on your comfort ☺️.
1. Use your phone camera or webcam to record yourself studying
This tip may sound strange, but it works.
Set up your webcam or your phone camera to record a video of yourself studying.
The idea is to create accountability.
Instead of having a friend check on your progress, you have a camera watching everything you do.
Knowing that you are being watched will remind you of your objective.
Just when you’re about to get distracted, you’ll remember that everything you’re doing is being recorded.
It’s a useful reminder to yourself that you’ve made a commitment to study.
2)Before your first study session of the day, create a plan for the day
Make the plan as detailed as possible.
There’s a good reason for this. You must be clear about what you’re going to achieve during each study session.
3) Learn to say no๐ ♂️
Now, I am not asking you to give up all your social activities, but you have to take some bold steps. If you dine out daily, it is better to limit this to one day per week, which will help you save some money as well. If you go to the cinema every week, try to cut down to once a fortnight. If someone is asking you to accompany them to hang out at the mall when you know you should be studying, tell them you’re busy – and let them know when would be a better time. In short: learn to say no when you know you really should.
4)Study place
Your study location is the most crucial part of increasing focus. You need a space that is quiet and away from the things that distract you. Once you're in the right area, that becomes study time, and you don't do anything else.
A grumbling tummy can be really distracting when you need to focus on your schoolwork. Bringing healthy brain food to your study session is helpful if you want to stay motivated and energized.
Stay away from high-sugar snacks that will make your energy levels spike and crash. Instead, choose snacks that help your brain function at its best. Nuts, seeds, blueberries, dark chocolate, carrots, avocados, bananas and other healthy foods can all leave you feeling awake and energized.
